Perfect Pitch Perfect

Imagine if Glee was a movie. Not like the Glee 3D Concert movie that myself and many others are still trying to forget. I’m talking if Glee wasn’t a TV show, and instead a 2 hour long movie. Well, such a thing exists, and its called Pitch Perfect. It’s a movie that I watched today, and it’s kind of, well, perfect. Yes, that’s how good my pun making skills are.

Unlike Glee, Pitch Perfect is based on a club set in college (They mean University) instead of High School. They’re less rubbish about relationship drama and no random bursting into song at impromptu moments (Sounds like a good name for a book). It’s a fun storyline, predictable sure but it has some great moments.

There are a couple of main reasons why I love this movie. First up, the music. It’s got a great soundtrack that I’ve actually been listening to all day. I love Party in the USA and Cups (We’ll get to that later). They also do a couple of mashups that include more than 2 songs! Something Glee has never dared to do. I don’t think any of the songs, bar Cups, come close to Glee songs at their best but still, A*.

the cast. Mainly Anna Kendrick. Suddenly everyone is freaking out about her, and I’m just sat here like, ‘Bitch please, I’ve loved her since the first Twilight movie’. She’s easily the best thing about those awful movies, sorry Alice – she’s even better than you. Anyway, she’s amazing in this movie. Also, Rebel Wilson, who plays Fat Amy. She’s tots hila.

The reason this movie was even brought to my attention was all down to Anna Kendrick’s cup performance, that’s sort of become a big deal over on the Facebooks. And you can see why, it’s brilliant and has like 30+ plays on my iTunes already. Did you know that Glee sung a song about cups once too, that wasn’t so hot. Check out the performance from Pitch Perfect below. Pardon the poor quality, it was the best I could find.

If you’re a Glee fan, like songs, love Anna Kendrick, cups or even good movies. You probably go watch Pitch Perfect. There are worse ways you could spend your time.
