We’re coming to the end of 2012, so it’s that time of year again when I look back on the year via the medium of blog posts. Favourite film, TV show, song, game and a wrap up post on New Years Eve is how it’s going to go down. It’s starting with my favourite song of the year, and it’s totally Call Me Maybe by my wonderful Carly Rae Jepsen!

But Chris, hold the phone. Didn’t Glee’s cover of Paradise by the Dashboard Light just hit 700 plays on your iTunes? Yes, you’re right but I feel like I’m the one person in the world crazy about that song. Whereas Call Me Maybe had me and the world going crazy for weeks and weeks. I remember finding the 10 hour version of that song and listening to it at work for 3 hours straight. If we’re talking about play counts, Call Me Maybe doesn’t even come close, but if you have to name a song that sums up the year, it’s Call Me Maybe every time. Also, Carly Rae Jepsen is super hot.
Close contenders include Paradise by the Dashboard Light, Tongue Tied, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and the Thomas the Tank Engine/50 Cent song. Okay, so that last one was a joke.
